I added a couple of heavy duty D rings in my 3990 near the front wall. The ones the factory installs are not bolted, but screwed into the steel frame rail. Cut the underbelly (three sides only so you can re-tape) then bolt in your new ones with a backer plate. I left my old ones in but don't really use them.

Thanks Rusty. Just what I was looking for. It will be on the list. Right now I only have two Honda dirt bikes for my boys so I should be fine but will add a few down the road and cut the underbelly to view.

The factory ones held my son's Victory Vision just fine all the way to South Dakota last summer. Here is a site that has some 5k lbs rated ones.

If your 3305 is like my 3605 there is no problem seeing the underside of the garage as it's not enclosed.

Walker1, take a look at the Condor motorcycle wheel chuck. $230 but it's removable and can be put in different trailers. You barely have to strap your bike down. I wrap the front wheel on my Ultra and two guide straps for safety in the back. Rock solid.

Thanks. I found that video on etrailer. Will have to add about 4 I think and like the back plate. Is our floor 5/8 plywood? I can't find this info on Dutchmen site.

There is one missing from the guy I bought from as he took it out going to add a winch but was weary of backing his Harley out . he never replaced.
Should there be a backer plate on the bottom and I try to find drings and replace ?

Curious about space below and hitting a tank. Anyone try this install? I guess I would have to remove some of the enclosed underbelly to be safe.
Where to even find these drings locally?
Thanks

Right now I have a flat deck with two dirt bike chocks I bought and fastened to the 2by 8 floor.
Was thinking how light the bikes re I would remove these and affix to plywood and sit on the floor in garage and then use the strap and d ring system. Will try this first. Thanks. great forum.

Only thing I regret is not knowing before hand thru this forum is that one WILL fit over the galley slide. Dealer claimed otherwise so didn't get one there.

3605 Bathroom Faucet

My wife said the faucet that is installed in the bathroom on the 3605 is annoying because it doesn't give her much room to wash her hands and it always seems to be getting in the way. So for about $46 at the Home Depot and about 30 minutes of time, this little annoyance can be fixed. As an added bonus this one swivels out of the way when needed. Scratch that off the honey do list.

Hi David, I just purchased a 2016 Voltage 3970. I am considering the Biker Bar for my 2015 Street Glide. Did you encounter any problems mounting the Biker Bar? I know the fuel tanks are there close.

Thanks,
Jeff

I put this exact faucet in my rig yesterday - perfect fit, matches finishes and huge improvement over the OEM that you can barely get your hands under to wash up. Thanks for sharing!

I was surprised at how much space was being wasted under the sink! I think that a skilled wood worker could easily put in a cabinet with some drawers, or a door to take advantage of the void.

There is a massive amount of wasted space in a lot of Rv's, especially the ones from companies like Dutchmen and the other high production ones. I have found several cubic feet of space in my little Coleman, eventually I may take advantage of some of it.

Yep, lots of wasted space under the sink... so here was my solution: a set of sliding racks.

Available in different sizes & configurations at Lowes (and other places)... brand is called Rev-A-Shelf. This one was about $80. Here's a link...
Shop Rev-A-Shelf 14.75-in W x 22.06-in D x 19-in H 2-Tier Metal Pull Out Cabinet Basket at Lowes.com

Mike,

I have a sink sorta like that in the garage bathroom. It didn't come with a plug, and anything I can get at Ace Hardware just drops into the drain.

So the dealer got me a new drain fitting, but its way too small for the hole in the bottom of the sink. Without measuring, I think the drain is about 2 1/2" across!!

Can I ask what yours has?

Thanks,

Pirate
