If your gasser makes 340hp it probably makes around the same torque number.
That's where a diesel gains it's advantage. My truck's tuned 525-ish HP isn't that impressive, but the 1,000lbft of torque is where I spank any gas truck. Even most sports cars if I'm unloaded can't beat me up to about 60mph.
If you pay attention youd notice I said 380 hp and the torque is about 401-405. And my buddy had a 01 duramax and yes we did a race to the top and yes it was stride for stride and yes we finished about the same. Tow weight was around 8k. But for long term extended trip towing on a regular basis, yes I could see the diesel advantage. Payload and body durability/capability is not the strong point for the Tundra.

You don't have to get pissy about it. I was just participating in the conversation.

9k bagged, rear sway bar, and WDH. Zero issue and I love the ride. Time away from towing is a joy in this tundra.

Finally got a bigger truck last summer. Pulls well has plenty of power, after the ranger a lot more stable.

Welcome to the forum, neighbor.

What part of Poco are you in. We were living off of Pipeline Rd before we left the lower mainland.

Think I saw your rig at Meridian recently.I store my Denali at Tom's storage yard, pretty convenient to hop in the truck, driving down there to fiddle with.

Don't have a picture of my rig yet, but will be towing my 3970 with a '12 Ram 3500 DRW, 6.7HO, Crew cab so my dogs will be comfy in the cab with us.
Expect to not have many problems with our setup, but might add bags to the rear of the Ram to soften the ride. We will make that decision once we hit the road and get a feel for everything.
