Magnum Energy AGS-N

Had this for about a year and finally got around to installing it. Just have to tweak the settings for conditions under which it will start - preset low battery level, temperature based in order to run the AC units, and also will run and exercise the generator if it has not been started in the past 30-days. Very easy install and interfaces directly with the rest of my Magnum Inverter system.

Other stuff

Also replaced all crimp on connectors associated with my slides as my bedroom slide would not come in today. Heard the relay clicking away but no movement. Found another loose crimp from Dutchmen.

Got the backup camera working again - dug the wiring out of the roof and unplugged it - reconnected and she worked. I will be working on connecting it to my running lights so that it will turn on and reset occasionally.

Tomorrow is the wet bolt kit!

http://www.dwincorp.com/products/10/...ohnson;40709]I bought a single vent from local dealer to try out in the vent I added in the LR...wow, that sucker puts out air...thinking of adding to the rest of the vent holes. Did you have to enlarge any holes? The one I added is very tight, because it is exactly 4 inches.

Cale[/QUOTE]

When I taped up the vents up last week, I rounded them out. Dutchmen made them either oblong, rough cut or oddly shaped. These fit great. Use minimal tape as these appear to be just a bit smaller than the OE ones.

Also, if you decide to get more, they are only $4 each:

Holy smokes your original TV is small. Our TV crams into the space with only a little room around it.

Wet bolt kit and Dexter EZ Flex installed

I won't post pics of the install process as several others have documented that. This was pretty easy to do actually. About 3 hours per side. If you order a new equalizer setup, they will ask for the size based on axle spacing - mine was a 35" - this is the measurement from spring hanger eye to spring hanger eye of the middle axle. After seeing my bushings, I am very happy I did this before we head out next week on the first of many camping trips this year.

Don,

Was the Ez-flex a direct replacement or an upgrade.

I need to do something about the shear rubbers in the Morryde soon and I'm searching for options.

Can't say yet if upgrade or not. I only did them because I was installing wet bolt kit and decided since I was in there, why not. I had the trailaire equaflex but was so corroded, decided to change it out

There doesn't look like much difference between the two. The Morryde on our camper is a totally different animal and it looks like I may need to do some surgery to change it out. The shear rubber is starting to show it's age, so I need to do something before our next major road trip.

I can't seem to find the replacement parts online and I'm waiting on an answer from Morryde on where I can get them. I have a feeling that the shear rubber is going to cost as much as a complete set of either one of the brands your dealing with.

I don't feel like being a beta tester anymore, so I'll probably go with the easy route and replace the rubber if I can find them.

Ran into a small snag that I wanted to confirm with Kodiak before I button this job up and call it complete. I had never encountered a disc brake pad that does not come in full contact with the rotor. In the pictures, notice the inboard pad rides above the rotor by about 5/16". Kodiak was very attentive to my inquiry and confirmed that is the way they are supposed to line up, but also said they are modifying the pad to be a little shorter on the next production run... Hmmm? The bottom of the pad is OK so I guess it's just a little extra overhang. I'm sure it will keep the edge of the rotor nice and shiny as it wears.

I like the thicker shackle. I just went through the replacement on mine with the stock shackles and I fear I will be revisiting it at some point for the thicker shackle kit. Good job!

I totally agree with your logic. The point of my post was for those folks that walk around their rig and squirt a little grease in these fittings on a regular basis without rotating the wheel or checking the back side to see where all that grease is going. There comes a point where the cavity is full and more is not better. That is what had happened to one of the wheels on my rig. (bought it used) The dried grease was outside the rear seal and caked up on the axle.
At any rate, we certainly are speaking the same language on the topic. Thanks for the feedback.

That's interesting, never seen that either. Mine are the way they should be, full contact to the rotor. Of course they are different sized calipers and rotors. Kodiak does have a good CS line, hope it stays that way now that Dexter has inhaled them.

Take it easy on the first test drive, I forgot to turn the boost down? I thought it was funny, my wife, not so much.

Installed 30" LED light bar on rear as well as an LED cube ahead of each front axle for reverse lights. Used a relay and fuse inside the generator compartment to activate them when truck is in reverse
