Generator and gas storage

Hi friends.
I pull my kodiak Cub with a Chev Tahoe where should I store my Honda Generator and extra fuel? In the large front pass through area? I usually only travel with it when boondocking or extended trips. Thank you in advance for the advice - see you on the road

If you have room I’d just throw it in the back of the Tahoe. If not the interior floor works fine just to get down the road. When you get to your destination just lock it up outside

Inside the trailer, over the axles or in the Tahoe. I’ve done both and prefer in the trailer to free up tongue weight/payload. I have a 98 lb Westinghouse 4500 inverter generator

I suppose it depends somewhat on your weight limits. Gens can be heavy so you might have more weight discretion in your trailer.
I personally don't like to smell gasoline in my living space so usually carry mine in the box of my f150.

The bumper has been reinforced with Mount N Lock safety struts and generator mounts. Have not had any issues so far. Total cost was ~$200. I do not like to put gas in a passenger compartment for obvious reasons.

It is a really slick system. I made my own tray to fit the generator and two five gallon gas cans perfectly. My DIY tray was also less expensive than the factory one.
