Furrion backup camera

Hello Everyone.

Just purchased a new Coleman Lantern 17B and we have already been out in it a couple of times. I have quickly grown on getting a backup camera as it is already pre wired for a Furrion unit. Everything I see shows a plug behind the plate but mine is a two wire loop that has some slack to pull on the wires. I'm afraid to pull to hard on these and cause some damage to the lights.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The wire is a 12 volt power supply for a backup camera. Some are connected to the backup lights. Some are connected to the running lights. Yours is probably connected to the running lights.

The intended Furrion would be wirelessly connected to a display that is mounted in the tow vehicle.

The wire can power many other styles and brands. Only a specific model will fit the mounting holes. I have a Garmin BA30 that wirelessly connects to a Garmin 770 GPS. I modified the mounting to accept the BA30.

Thanks! I just went for it and cut the wires splicing in the camera positive and negative. Wire nut and electrical tape to keep it connected. I'm golden.

I dislike the fact that the furrion doesn't work with anything but their monitor.

We have a 43' Yukon, our second trailer with Furrion. After 2 years and countless hours, it just makes me Furious. Can't even get a good signal from the side cameras little-own the rear. Yesterday Furrion came out and Haloview went in...what a difference!
