Dutchmen Dorado

Where do I go to find any information regarding the Dorado line of motorhomes produced by Thor/Four Winds/Dutchmen from the early 2000's through at least 2006?
Nothing seems to appear on this forum and nothing in the archives of information.
Would like to find paint numbers for the blue and silver trim on the outside of the coach and the vendor of the day/night shades.

Any info out there?

Dutchmen

There seems to be an identity problem with Thor/Four Winds/Dutchmen about Dutchmen Motorhomes. Dutchmen RV at the number you reference only has trailer info. They suggest contacting Thor, which I will do.
Does anyone but me have a Dutchmen Motorhome?

It may just be me, but I can honestly say I have never seen a Dutchmen motorhome either on the road or at RV shows we have attended.

Paul,

Even if Dutchmen could tell you that they did motorhomes, they wouldn't be able to give you paint codes. I have a 2012. As you can see in my avatar it's a 5er and is full paint. Last year I wanted the paint codes and Dutchmen idiots were less then friendly about even researching. The codes that I was given didn't make any sense to the paint companies.
NAPA had a machine that they place up against the painted area and can create a paint formula to match that paint.
It matched and I was a "happy camper".

I am considering buying a 2007 Dorado 31 ft class C on a Ford E450 chassis w/ a V10 gas engine. It seems to be in good shape but I am concerned about the V10 and the quality of Dutchmen dorados in general. I has 36,000 miles and is priced at $38,000. Any critiques, reviews, or comments from people who have actual experience with the Dutchman dorado will be appreciated. I have pulled travel trailers for years (about 10 - 15 K per year) but never owned a motorhome. Don't want to jump into a new one without experiencing ownership but also don't want to buy a bad product.

The chassis will be rock solid. That V-10 is a thirsty beast though. Can't speak for the Dutchmen quality of their motor homes, not that many of them out there. The good thing is all the manufacturers pretty much use the same parts suppliers so if something needed to be replaced it shouldn't be too hard.

Reviving an old thread...

Paul, here is a link to a brochure for Dutchmen Motorhomes. I believe the dorado is mentioned.

BTW I’m an owner of an apparently rare Dutchmen Express class C. Has a Thor manufacturing sticker go figure

Charley
Think of Thor as General Motors... and your Dutchmen as a Chevy, Buick, or Pontiac. All built under the umbrella of the parent company.

Great way to look at it Tom. Thanks for the input! No matter the Pedigree, I really like my RV
