I just put a simple drain for the hot water heater in the "Appliance" section of this Forum.

Three more ball valves and a couple of feet of sched 40 plastic pipe and I made the Potable water tank drain and the low point drains much more accessible.
I was little concerned about the vulnerability of the PVC pipe hanging down, but I was able to keep the installations close to and above the axles, so the pips are really protected. I used sched 40 PVC fittings to bring the drains over next to the spring hanger brackets and put ball valves right at the brackets. Put a plug on the ball valve oppposite the side the PVC pipe comes in and therfore if the ball valve did get actually opened, nothing happens until you pull the plug.
On the Dutchmen Lite 25C-GS, the low point drains are right between and inside the door side wheel hubs. You've got to look near the insulation to find the little plugs sticking out without any type of valve on them.
I attached the ball valves to the spring hangers with heavy duty black (U/V protected) plastic wire ties. I can now drain the fresh water tank and the low points of the entire water system by kneeling by the steps of the trailer. This is much easier than the low crawl half way under the trailer to get to the drain plugs.
Got this all done and thought I had a complet project. Something told me to get in near the water pump and see what was going on with my modifications in there. Pulled the cover off the water pump and I was looking at the ground. Seems the black I was seeing under the water pump was nothing but the fabric of the belly liner.
Got a can of "Great Stuff" foam and filled the voids. Not only does this insulate, but it also keeps the rodents out. Get too much, let it dry and just break and scrape off the parts of the "Great Stuff" foam you don't need.
