TV/Sound system wiring
My first post! Ready to head out with my new 2015 V3605. I've been RVing for about 35 years and have many useful mods to all of my units. I would like to upgrade the car stereo to a real Blu-Ray DVD player but can't see how to get to the wiring behind the TV. The factory was no help at all and I can't see what holds everything together. Any help would be appreciated and if there's interest, I will post photos and diagrams.
Thanks all!

I don't have a big ole fancy Voltage, but on my camper I had to take the paneling off the wall to access the wires. It was very easy as everything is fastened with tiny staples. If you're careful, you can pry it off and literally just push it back on.
I did a thread on it.

Thank you much! I have pretty much decide that I will have to do some major surgery to do what should have been done in the first place. I did pull the stereo out today just for a look-see and they must hire three year-olds to do their wiring, it's a real rat's nest! Anyway, it will all be right soon and hopefully look as good as your job!

I think I will invest in a good sound bar with wireless sub to simulate surround sound. For under $400, you can get a good Polk or JBL system. I am not aiming to get the same performance I have in my home theater system....we don't go camping to listen to movies all day long I just want clear vocals, highs and good bass and most Polk or JBL systems under $400 can suit my needs

It's pretty simple to remove the trim piece around the fireplace and then slide it right out. Once out you will have access to the rear from underneath, don't have a heart attack when you see the birds nest of wiring in there! I managed to clean up a bunch of wiring, remount and rewire the subwoofer (which is pretty useless anyway), and run a couple of HDMI cables to interface with my tech toys. I think to truly access the whole smash you will have to go through the garage bathroom wall. Not sure how big a job that is, I am pretty content as is.

Thank you Jon! I'm never surprised at the lack of quality and forethought that goes into RV wiring. Even the 40 ft. Monaco pusher we had wasn't much better. Oh well, it will be perfect very soon!!!

I got ambitious today and crawled up in the alcove of the loft area to see if there was access to the back of the radio from there. All you have to do is remove the center piece of paneling and there you are! The worst wiring job that I've ever seen. Amazing that it works at all.Why would you install an amplifier and not connect it to the stereo REMOTE POWER lead? Oh well, another amp, 2 more speakers in the garage and it will all be just fine!
