Saw a 2015 Voltage out in the Mojave desert, Dove Springs area, where we were last week. Camps are miles apart, and not many rigs like these, but he drove right by and stopped. Was thinking for sure it was one of us, but he said he does not post. He did ask about the slides, noticing that mine had cables, and he said he had the Schwintek, although we are both 2015. Never had a slide issue, so I can't recall what the deal was, and whether he meant they were better, worse, or just different? I do recall seeing some posts debating the merits of the differing slide systems, so curious to hear what y'all think..

Nothing wrong with the Schwintek slides... IF THE FACTORY INSTALLS THEM CORRECTLY. Unfortunately Dutchmen seems to have issues with building things properly. I have seen the Schwintek slides on $700,000 motorhomes. Cable slides need periodic adjustment, especially when the cables stretch. Just part of normal maintenance.

Yesterday while towing my Teton back home from Phoenix I saw four Voltages headed east bound on I-10. Saw all of them between Buckeye & Quartzsite Az. One 2 axle, two 3 axles & a full body paint 3 axle black & yellow.

A Voltage being pulled by a HDT just pulled through Lakeport, Tx. Didn't get a good look at the truck but I think it was a Freightliner.

Saw two Voltages on our way home from Quartzsite Az. One heading east bound on I-10 just west of Quartzsite being pulled by shortbed white Ford. Had a sign on the driver door in blue & started with a B. Other one was fueling at the Texaco station just 5 miles or so on I-10 in to Arizona. Only say the rear but it was in the truck island.

See a bunch of them parked at a part time RV dealer in Yuma AZ. Seems they close down that location in the summer months and come back just prior to the heavy winter season.

It's that time of the year when all the snowbirds start coming out here to the desert.
Come over to Quartzsite Az. in January and you will see the desert loaded with RVs.
Good Sams will have a big tent for 10 days starting Jan 15. Anything RV can be found there.

I might just do that. I have many family members living in Phoenix (and own a house there as well), so I regularly move between San Diego and Phoenix for visits using I8, but I can deviate thru Quartzsite for a visit.
Thanks for the idea!

Howdy Speedy,

I was in that area during that time span, is this the truck and trailer you saw?

If this is the rig you saw it was me, I was on the road from October 4th got back home on November 23rd. Left from my home in Granite Falls WA, and traveled through 15 States and racked up 6,527 miles on that trip.

I might add that while on that trip I saw one Voltage in Idaho, one in Utah, one in Wyoming, one in Missouri, two in Texas, one in New Mexico, two in Arizona, two in California, one in Oregon and a couple more once I got back into my home State of Washington.

I was out in Quartzsite Az this past 3 day weekend. Heading out there I saw a 2 axle being pulled by a red Dodge SRW getting fuel just east of the Cal/Az border line on I-10 at the Texaco station. In Quartzsite saw four new ones for sale at CW lot. One used 20011 for sale at a consignment lot on main street. Saw three others out boondocking like we were off Dome Rock Road. Heading home saw a 3 axle heading east on I-10 being pulled by a white Ford SRW between Blythe & Desert Center.
