Triton 3551 Pin height

Hello, need some measurements for a Triton 3551.
Need pin height at level, pin to bottom of bedroom and pin to nose.
Looking to see if my truck will have hitting issues.

what kind of truck do you have? is it lifted? What kind of hitch are you using? Anderson Ultimate? 5th wheel pinbox?

Triton 3551 pin height

I purchased camper out of state and its still there in storage. So can't measure myself. I bought an older F350 6.7 srw and have a B&W Patriot slider. Using the rails previous owner had. One of the issues is truck has Back Rack so losing 5" from rear window. Truck is stock. First time fifth wheel. Amazingly Dutchmen corp. couldn't help and several dealers the same.

Probably the reason that they can't give you the pin height is that when the jacks are up, it could vary. I think you will be OK with a stock truck except for the box you have in the back. Depending on how close to that box you will be with that there will determine what your turning radius would be. They give you the height of the vehicle overall, usually that pin box is about six feet to the bottom of the RV to the ground then the pin box gives you 12 -16" lower.

Triton pin height

Thank you for the reply.
The box is really a rack that protects the rear window. It does stick out about 5".
Do you have the 3551 model? The info you gave matches up to a few fifth wheels I measured. Not Ducthmen rv's so wasn't sure. Noticed some had pin box beyond the nose and some behind. But they were all 12-13" from pin to underside of camper. I guess worse case is I pull the Rack off if needed when I pick it up.
Again Thanks

I have a solitude Grand Design now 5th wheel now. From my experience with attempting to get an Anderson Ultimate hitch installed on my truck and what I agonized going through to make sure I was doing the right thing in getting it fitted, I did a LOT of measurements for naught

I pull mine with f350 4x4 longbed
And have no issues if I had a rack
I would pull it off. If your truck is
A short bed I would definitely pull
It off.

I can't help you because I have a GenY Goose Box installed on my 3551 but I had to lift my trailer with new springs and blocks just to get it at a reasonable height in the back of my stock height 2012 RAM 3500 Dually with max tow. I lifted it about 2.5" and it is still a bit low in the back and only 6" between the bed rails and the front cap.

Thanks for all your input.
Lots to think about. The people I bought the RV from used a Dodge 3500 dually not sure year. They had a Curt slider not much difference then the B&W Patriot slider I have. Mine has a higher load capacity cause I'll have two motorcycles in back.
My truck is a short bed and srw the back rack is the question. I use it quite often. I do know the RV has a Curt Rotaflex pin box and there is adjustment on that. Also the B&W has adjustment as well.
Guess I'll have to make sure when I pick it up that it's a good day so I can remove, change and adjust what I need. And you know there's that Inevitable trip to the Camp or hardware store.

Good luck, as was said before, the box will probably be your only issue!

I should have added for information. At the scales, with about 40 gallons of water and our golf cart in the garage. The cart has lithium batteries so it's about 350 lbs lighter.

Truck = 8360 with 20 gallons of fuel & me.
Trailer = 15,820 loaded with above items.
Pin = 3,120 I don't know what it is without the cart in the back.
Combined = 24,180

You should have no problem at all. A friend has the Dodge dually with all the options. He pulls one of the larger Grand Designs with the six wheels two decks plus two Harleys. The only thing he did to the truck was add an auxiliary fuel tank in the bed. He travels the states often.
