leveling trailer for slide outs

Question for those with experience with slide outs. How level should the trailer be for extending or retracting the slide out? How much out of level could trailer be, and is side to side or front to back level more critical? Thanks

Both attitudes are a factor, because if one or the other is not close, you get a twist in the frame, and that will bind the slide out. You should be as close to level as possible with the schwintek, as they are very touchy about those gears lining up with the rails on the slide.

If the trailer is not level, you will notice it when you either extend or retract the slide-out... it may need assistance (someone pushing) to help it out.
