We bought it that way so we can upgrade in the future and not have to change tow vehicles (and we wanted a Mega Cab for the room). The trailer is 33ft and weighs about 9800# loaded.

This was the day after I bought it. I have since added Direct TV Travelr sat and Genie with 4 wireless Genie's. Changed all the tires out to Goodyear G614 RST. Added washer and dryer, 12 Powered Polk audio sub in the garage and have the rest of the MCD Night shades on order for the garage and master bedroom. Took all the center caps off the wheels and sent them to powder coat to get them gloss black instead of the cheap paint they used to spray them. That's the major things so far. It's only two weeks old so it's a pretty good start.

Looks good Ken!
BTW I see by your signature you have a Jack Russel Terrorist.
My pup is half JR half Walker Hound... (haven't quite figured the logistics of that one out yet )
Loves to camp, when the JRT side kicks in I have a 50# whirling dervish on my hands, fortunately the hound side is more prevalent.

Have you ever been pulled over by state, county, or local police with that set-up? I know a few states do not permit double-trailers except semi-drivers with CDL licenses.

Heh heh. Terrorist. That's good.
Ours has her moments for sure. She's quite the alpha. I don't know what she says to them but I've seen huge dogs lay down in front of her submissively without either dog barking.
Anyway we've never had a more fiercely loyal and fun-loving dog. Camping is probably her paradise with all those scents I'm sure she picks up. So her "business" walks tend to be mini-hikes. And she even puts up with us using her new trailer...
Here's pic of our trailer parked at a campground in PA. This was our first trip out in it. Notice the pull thru site and our wonderdog guarding the gate.
Be it ever so humble...
Ken

Looks great Ken! Two things I did to keep the jacked-up trailer from being "wobbly." First, I got one of those yellow jackstand cones from CW. It takes up about 12" of height, and keeps the jack from being so extended, and thus wobbly. Second, I didn't spend any money, but used my auto jackstands (the ones you put under when working on the car) under the front corners. Don't know why they give you stabilizers for the rear, but rest the whole front on the jack. Trailer Tongue Jack Stand - Four Corners D10-126 - Towing Accessories - Camping World

Marty has a good point on the jacks. I actually use the Camco trailer jacks on mine. This is what everybody used 50 years ago. Someone bought me mine for Christmas or my birthday last year. I need to get one of the yellow tongue jack cone thingys.

NC we can run up to 65', as long as you stay under 26,000 GVW you can run on an standard license. Buddy of mine does it on a regular basis with a variety of trailers and not all of them have a gooseneck.
I am CDL for everything but explosives... I used to run double oil tankers, currently I drive a Ford Focus for work.

I think you both have great ideas. I'm going to pick up a couple of those jacks and a stand for our trailer too.
