That's what I had in mind, but because I am using two posts i'll have to hinge the caps on the bottom or top.

hmmm..... My dealer installed two in a heavy duty black plastic box. There are two boxes and thus four batteries.
Tough to store anything on top of them due to the exposed bus at the back of the cabinet.

Pirate, Windish also installed 4 batteries for me in 2 heavy duty poly boxes... They fit great and are well positioned, and vented. Extremely easy access.

The two are individual boxes with several venting holes drilled in the bottom of the upper box to allow ventilation. This is a temporary solution I came up with quickly as we go to the races next weekend where we dry camp.

Would love to know where they got the boxes. I tried several layouts with these boxes and could not seem to get them to fit. The hydraulic reservoir/pump are too low for one to go under there and thought about raising it up a few inches but then I would not be able to manually pump it if I ever needed to.

Maxxfan installed in bathroom, nightlight in bathroom so you can see the toilet in the middle of the night without totally losing night vision, and small inverter installed to run the icemaker at the race track until I get the 2000 watt Xantrax installed.

When you backlit your panel did you scrape off that white "paint" on the back side? I put the LEDs in the cabinet but barely visible in the dark...

No. It is not completely even across the display but it lights up everything.

Installed Progressive EMS-HW50C with second display.
Installed MaxxFan Deluxe Model 7500K in bathroom.
Still have to put in the rear lights like DesertRat did. Saw them on other manufacturers TH and do not trust those who follow to close.

I'm thinking I will have to tape the LED strip right to the back of the panel. Mine are barely visible even in the dark...

Backlit panel
Control panel finally backlit. Wired with a magnetic switch to turn on and off when door is opened/closed. Will be using these switches for the exterior storage doors as well when I light them all up with LEDs as well as the trunk and saddlebags of my Goldwing.

Thanks for the advice you gave on the placement of the LED strip - worked out great - and actually these switches are easy to add after the fact as well...
