Amish cooling units

I have a Norcold 1095n refrigerator that I have never been happy with its cooling especially in hot weather. I was wondering if anyone has switched and did it make a noticeable difference in the cooling.

Before switching, you may want to do a mod that many have done, which helped significantly. They installed small, computer-like fans (several actually used computer fans, while others bought fans specifically for this purpose) in the stack outside your RV behind the fridge. Moves the hot air out of the stack, increasing cooling. Search this forum. You'll find several posts. Good luck.

He should already have one on the outside (at the top vent). I know others (Don) have installed them off near the cooling find inside and have even wired a temperature reading on the outside of the door.

You can also try installing a lower temperature switch that runs the fan on the outside of the fridge - I also did that and it made a big difference in cooling.
