Expanding foam where grey tank drains go through floor
So, pulled up the panels this week to winterize my water heater, and where the PVC piping goes through the floor into the grey tank, there is a lot of space around the pipe, it doesn't appear that there is any gap, the tank seems flush up against the foam insulation and floor, but wondering if it's okay to fill that gap with expanding foam just to keep critters out for sure, or if it's better to leave it clean in case there has to be plumbing work performed for some reason?
I found that the factory expanding foam around my water line into my water pump had a gap worn away, so I quickly refoamed that, and it's all good now, but wondered about the areas where the 2 inch PVC goes through. It appears that those fittings are glued to the tank, not a threaded application anyhow so if anything had to be repaired, there would be cutting involved anyhow...
