Leaking roof skylight

Has anybody used Flexseal spray to reseal caulking on a skylight? The caulking on my shower skylight does not really look that bad, and does not appear to leak during normal rain events. It appears to somewhat leak from snow and thawing situations.

where does it leak? Around it? Trough it? If around, I prefer to use eternabond after you have removed the existing sealant, that way you do not need to reseal it but it's there forever. You can also use DICOR sealants but they need to be renewed every year or so because they crack.

just my 2 cents

Don't do it. I just replaced a roof and someone used that stuff. It was flaky and dry. I don't think it has UV Inhibitors in it.

Yes, you are correct, on the self-leveling. Only I would probably use the Alpha brand since that is where the rubber is from.

Prep before adding Diclor

One neat trick you can use, before you add new Diclor (or any) self leveling sealant is to clean the old sealant with a rag sprayed with starting fluid. You don't want to spray starting fluid on a rubber roof, so spray it on the rag then wipe the old sealant, keeping it off the rubber roof. It will clean it like magic and prep it for the new sealant.
