Domentic thermostat

I leave my ac on in the winter,, why?? cuz we dont use the camper, but figure 84 degrees in Tucson heat was better than 120,,, but was cold the other day and I could hear the fan running,,, went in, camper was 38 degrees and fan was running,, Thermostat was on AC auto,, I turned it off.. but seem to remember having a problem like this last few years, the compressor is not on, just the fan,, is that an inherent Dometic thermostat problem or something else? we dont use the trailer except for guests. was easier for us to buy a place where we want to stay than pull trailer across country,, thanks..

What was the outside temperature? I think I had a similar exprience when the thermostat is on Auto that the fan ran full time but it did not get that cold.

You said the AC was set to auto but was the fan set to Auto too? I seem to recall someone changed my fan setting to on from auto and so it ran constantly even when the air conditioner was not running.

Easy attempt to fix might be just replace the thermostat with a new one.

In some HVAC systems, fan can be set to run all the time, or set to "auto" so it only runs when A/C is called for. The same can happen on the heat side.

See the operating instructions for the A/C and the thermostat. Search for "make model manual".
"Dometic model"
"A/C maker model"
"Furnace maker model"

thanks,< I have reset it in the past,, cant be that smart cuz it only uses three wires,, + and - 12 volt, which I figure the minus is ground? will try a meter on it today,, and the center is the sensor signal I guess,, dont know,, will just leave it off in the winter,, although since we had a house fire will be in it till house is done,, thanks,,,
