Caulking remove or add more

Hello we have 2008 Denali 35RG was up on the roof looking around and noticed the caulking around everything was old looking
We where wondering should we remove it all or just go over it with self levelling caulking

Remove loose sealant and clean any cracks in the sealant with denatured alcohol then seal over the top.

The roof on my 2012 QB20 has been caulked every year for eight years now. I use lap sealant and just caulk right over the previous caulking. I use a spreader and it may not look that pretty but it seems to do the job. I think removing the old caulk would cause more problems than it would help. Only I see the roof and it actually looks OK. You don't have to put it on too thick.

Conventional wisdom suggests removal, cleaning then new. Having stated the obvious, My wisdom steers me to do that every other time!!
