New Awning..Where to start?

We purchased our first RV from a repo auction and it needs some work. The previous owners tried to remove the power awning and broke it off the tracks. Where should we begin when replacing the power awning? It has the LED lights too. Any advice is appreciated! :-)

...And if you can find it... what brand of awning? Carefree of Colorado, Dometic, etc...
