Your best bet is probably an alignment shop that services 18 wheelers.

Good idea. We're in the Birmingham/Chattanooga area for a few weeks - there are some listed in the area.

Called Lionshead today - they supplied the wheels on my V3605. They are 110 psi wheels - IF the correct valve stems are installed.

17.5s remain the best choice, I know.

But if I'm stuck in BFE, I at least know what I have.

RV Nevada, Just food for thought, I would not go to Billings via Red Lodge if you are passing through YNP. that would send you over Top of the World pass or known as Beartooth Pass, especially with a large rig. look at it really close through Google Earth or Google Maps. lots of switch backs and steep. could get ugly. Safe travels and Happy trails

I got 30k out of the stock tires that came on my 3950. Don't ask me how, but a month before I was going to replace all of them, I had a blowout......ugh.

I have a buddy with a Weekend Warrior 5er and he recommended Toyo Open Country H/T Tuff Dutys. They are a beefy, hard core tire. Guys at Les Schwab said they were a great choice for the type of weight I was hauling. Not many people would go that route. Most want something similar to what they had just better quality. Check them out if you haven't looking into them.

Interesting idea. i don't see the same sizing as what we need/others are recommending (215/75 17.5)
Open Country H/T with Tuff Duty | Toyo Tires

So I ordered the G614's, can't really afford the 17.5 upgrade plus tires atm. I've tempted fate for long enough now 1.5 years ~2500 miles (Plus dealer delivery to CO) and my china bombs are defiantly showing their lack of quality.

I have a 3000 mile trip coming up in a few weeks and just don't want the hassle or worry over the tires. My tri-axle rig with G rated tires I should be ok with the 16" wheels, with more weight distribution, I have 250# per tire more then my axles can handle at 21K max. I prefer to be over rated then near or under, kinda why I have a 25K hitch as well...

Yeah, that's what I got a year and a half ago. I haven't had a chance to use the 3905 but once since I bought the G614's.

As we are getting ready to head out for the summer I checked my tire pressure. I was delighted to see the pressure at 105 psi. Down only 5 psi from 110 psi over a year ago.

That's great to hear, my china bombs deflated 15 PSI over winter alone. I got a good price match at Discount Tire $314 /per tire so 7 mounted and balanced with brass stems will come in just over $2500. After just replacing the crap firestone tires on my dully and $1500 for BFG AT's I'll have plenty of confidence of keeping the rubber on the road.

Now to get to New Orleans and enjoy some great food and visits with the family I left there two decades ago.

Have had my new voltage toy Hauler since October and have logged over 14,000 miles. I a Checked tires before each trip have had to add like a pound of air totally surprising. Must be the nitrogen

New feet went on yesterday and as a first test I completed a 80* turn to test the flex in the side walls of the G614's. Night and day difference. The old tires appeared as if the wheels would snap off the hubs, the new tires stay nearly plumb to the ground now.

The ride home on the new rubber also was a noticeable difference.

Ready for my 3K round trip back home to New Orleans in a week and I can now drive with more confidence.

Pulled the trigger - 17.5" wheels and Continental HTL2 Eco Plus tires are on the way. $$$, but I'm relieved knowing I won't have to pull another mile on the Westlakes.

17.5' tires & wheels are the best update you can do if you have a large heavy two axle 5th wheel of any brand. Just read my tire posts and you will know why.

Next day delivery from Trailer Tires and Wheels! They're on and torqued. The Continentals are Massive!

Now hope for someone to buy the 16" rims/tires so I don't have to haul them around.

Htl2 Eco plus air pressure

What pressures are you running on your continental htl2 Eco plus tires? I just got mine on and was looking at the pressure/capacity chart from continental and thought th pressure for my load was a little to low. Hoping to get some feed back from those of you that run these tires.

I don't have that brand but I run my Hankooks at 120psi. Have over 6k on them with no problems

I run 110psi cold in them so the pressure has room to "expand" as they warm up. But Fred is spot on as they are rated for max load at 120psi

Another bomb went off!

They can take out everything under the kitchen. Just lucky it didn't make it through the propane line.

Ouch, that's a bad one. How many axles do you have and how fast were you going. That looks scary. Driving north on Nevada 93 this summer I thought about where I would pull over if I had vehicle problems. Not a friendly road to stop on.
