Raising leveling jacks

Well I couldn't stand it any longer. I finally started raising the leveling jacks on my rig. I know it's not much but I was able to raise the rear jacks about four pin holes. Gained a couple of inches at the most. Hoping that will help protect the jacks. I feel like they hang down just to low and I'm always worried about dragging. I will also wrap the HYD. hoses in a rubber hose to help protect them where they come through the frame.

One problem with raising the jacks is that the stroke of the Jack is going to be longer, which will allow the coach to shake....or you will limit yourself to how un level a site can be when you arrive... We have been to some pretty crappy places and have not dragged any of the jacks...we have also been so unloved that the driver's side tires were completely off the ground...

Had the same thing last time we were out. Drivers side tires were off the ground about six to eight inches.

After measuring the cylinder, I figured I had about eight inches of ram before it maxed out. I thought I would give it a try and then see how it worked out or if I can't get the tires high enough to change a flat. I can always put it back if it shakes to much or doesn't work out.

I raised mine, haven't had any issues, I did through in a few extra blocks though.
