That is the most difficult part of the entire job, getting the unit on the roof. I am still contemplating on whether or not to replace my current Advent 13.5 with a Dometic 15K that is lower in height. I store my trailer in our barn that is 11' to the truss, and I have to remove the cover off the AC unit to get it in. With the shorter units I would not have to do that.
The other reason is for better cooling, but I found in taking the inside cover off, that the ducts are partially blocked by the foam used in the plenum. So I will trim those first and see if it cools better.
