Water Filter ideas & recs
Hi all! We've taken the summer off, but are ready to start camping now that we're expecting a bit cooler weather here in the south.
It's time for me to replace my external in-line water filter. Previously, I've used the Camco TastePure filter, purchased from WalMart. When I went in to get a replacement, they had several other options, and now I've decided it's time to do a little more research. I searched the forums here, but couldn't find any in-depth info, or sharing of filter use.
The Camco notes a 20-micron sediment filter, but is that really enough? If I buy a 1-micron filter, then the price is nearly double. Is that worth it? Do I need one that good?
I typically tote my own drinking water, but obviously don't want to be messing up my water-heater or pipes with bad water if it needs to be filtered.
As always, the expertise of the members of this forum are greatly appreciated!
