My 2020 coleman lantern 338BH is pre wired for a second ac in the bedroom. Which dometic unit do I get. I see there is units that can be wired to the thermostat or manual knobs on the actual unit. If it's pre wired would it connect to the thermostat along with the living room AC unit. Thanks
While not specific to your unit most "pre wired" do not have a thermostat wire installed with the power wires. You should remove the trim cover and verify how many wires you have there. If your thermostat is compatible you may be able to run the wires to it if it is not already done. Given that these units are built with cost savings in mind I would assume that the thermostat wire is not there and you would end up using a unit with ceiling mounted controls. you will know once you pull the panel down for sure.
My TT is 50 amps with a 15K BTU ducted AC with thermostat in the living area and a 13.5K BTU none ducted in the bedroom. If you are currently setup for 30 amps you can buy the panel and power cord to convert to 50 amps, did this for my father-in-laws 5ver.
If you add the second AC and your current unit is 13.5, move this to the bedroom and purchase a 15K as the main AC unit.
