My awning got destroyed in storm and I need to replace the whole thing. I have a 24 ft Dutchman Ultra lite. I'm looking for just a pullout, no real other extras just good quality at a decent price. Thanks for any help.

My old camper had a new carefree awning installed on it from the previous owner.
I only had it for 2 years, but it seemed like a good strong awning, took a few nasty wind storms without tearing.
Carefree is probably about the best bang for the buck in a manual awning. Lipert has the new Solera (sp) awning, but I don't know anything about it. Dometic/A&E and Zip Dee are the other main manufacturers. Dometic/A&E is very similar to CareFree, Zip Dee is higher end and expensive, but they still maintain a parts inventory for 20+ year old products.

If you chose to go with carefree and the electric travel'r consider the adjustable pitch. That way can adjust each end of the awning. Good if sun is low or it rains.
