Do the windows need re sealing on the Kodiak trailer. They look pressed in with a sealant?

I have a Kodiak Cub 20' trailer. My TT is a 2018 model.

Flanged window frames are sealed using Butyl tape. It is a soft black material that comes in roles.

Unroll it. Remove backing. Place it under window frame flange. Tighten window frame screws. Tape is compressed in place.

When properly installed, butyl tape lasts many years.

TPO rubber roofs require frequent service for sealant cracks and separations. Windows, door, and fittings generally do not need frequent service.

Paul’s correct! Never use silicone to seal anything unless it’s made specifically for RV use. Even then I would hesitate to use it. I never fasten anything to the outside of my RV without using butyl tape as a safeguard.
