Pump Suitable for Pumping Potable Water out of Jugs

Have a 2017 Kodiak ultra which we like to take to campgrounds where fresh water has to be pumped into five gallon containers and then emptied into the trailer.

Looking for a fairly small pump I could maybe connect to my RV battery to use to pump the water out of the jugs and up into the trailer's freshwater tank. That, or a similar type arrangement. Pump could even be powered by regular batteries if necessary. Just want to avoid having to lift and pour the jugs or to use a manual pump if possible.

12 volt water pumps come in all shapes and sizes. Mr Google or Duck Duck Go will produce an endless list. "12 volt potable water pump"

I have a pump that attaches to my battery powered drill.

there are literally hundreds of them out there but here is just one for a sample.

Here's one for 200 bucks but only 8 GPM!

Go on Amazon and look for a Shurflo Revolution 4008 pump. Its $63 and can be hooked up with a switch and cabled for a 12V motorcycle battery if needed. Plus, its fast and self priming. Running it dry won't bother it bit.

12v pump for water transfer

Just finished our set up for this and works great. Check out Everflo 12v pumps online. I used the 4GPM model with 12’ of twin wire and alligator clips to hook up to trailer battery.
Have 4 Heavy white plastic potable water jugs that each hold 12 - 13 gallons each on back of truck, 25 white rv hose to fill connection on side of trailer.
Takes 2 minutes and 30 seconds to transfer one tank to the trailer with this set up.
Now we can camp at all of the campgrounds that have power only at their camp sites with no water supply issues.
If you wanted to speed it up they make a 5.5 GPM 12v pump as well but it draws a few more amps.
