Mud Flaps

My new 2021 Kodiak Cub 175 BH came without Mudflaps.

I feel with the ultra low hanging Sewer Discharge, there really needs to be Mud Flaps aft of the Wheels.

I am thinking of mounting the Mudflap(s) to the angled Floor Support, that runs perpendicular to the frame, about a foot back of the Wheels?

has anyone information on how they have mounted Mudflaps?

Any reason, not to mount hard to the angled Floor Support?

Would it be better to suspend on a couple of chain links, beneath the frame?

Any input, is appreciated.

Thank You.

Sorry I don't have an answer for you but I was thinking the same thing about my 2021 Kodiak Cub 177rb. Whatever you end up doing, if possible, could you post a photo of end result.

To change topics....what is your opinion on the OEM tires (Westlake) that came with the unit. I am not too sure about the off road tread for camping on Prairies.
Thanks

Once I get my Brackets made I will post.

I would of thought there might have been more others, that have installed Mudflaps. I really think is a must, to protect the Drain Lines.

I too am note sure of the OEM Tires.

I will likely upgrade to the Goodyear Endurance Tires.

I put mud flaps on my Cub 176. It was one of the first things I did. The floor behind the wheels is hard foam with a cloth cover. It will erode away quickly from wheel spray.

Buy oversize flaps. Cut to fit. Screw to support bracket behind the wheel. Prime and paint all hardware or use stainless steel. Plated hardware will corrode quickly. Prime and pant support bracket where you drilled holes.

The buckets in the picture contain insulation. They are to prevent drain lines from freezing in winter.

I wish you good luck and happy trails ahead!
