Hole & Plug in Back of Brake Hub

Just took delivery of 2021 Kodiak Cub 175 BH.

It has the Torsion Axle.

Underneath the Trailer, on the backside of the Brake Drum Area, there is a hole, about 1/8" Diameter, with a Nylon Plug on a short Tether.

The little Plug, is not in the hole; they were left hanging loose, on both Wheels.

I asked Dealer, and they had not seen these before.

This little hole, is about a 1/2" above, where the Electric Brake Wires enter, on the backside, of each hub.

What is purpose of hole? Should it, or should it not be plugged?

There are of course other holes / slots in the back of this Hub, just wondering what is special about this one ?? Why the Plug? Why not installed?

Likely something obvious, but I can not think of it.

It might be to allow for mechanical adjustment of the brake, is the hole oval? Once the brake has been adjusted the rubber is a pig to refit.

No, not the oval hole, for brake adjustment.

It is about 1/8" diameter round hole, about a half inch away from where the electric brake wiring enters the back of the hub.

There is nothing obvious that this pin hole accesses ??
