Sounds like your fan speed is set at "Auto" which will cause it to cycle on and off as it reaches the designated temperature. If you punch the on/off button 3 times, it should read "Auto/Lo/Hi" in sequence. If you leave it on "Lo or Hi", the fan will continue to run and actually uses the A/C for demisting or humidity control. If you set it on "Auto", then the fan will run until it reaches whatever temperature you set and should then come back on after the temp as dropped a couple of degrees. Just a thought.
