Question Newbie to 5th wheels

Good morning all,
'witchbiker' here. Just thought I'd say good morning from sunny Florida, and ask my first 5th wheel question, since I'm not new to camping, but we are new to the 5th wheel world.
Can I run the generator (didn't have a built-in with previous tagalong) with the AC on, while I'm towing the Endurance 5th wheel? My concern is running the generator with the camper plugged into the TV. I wouldn't think there would be a conflict between the TV and the gen., but I thought I'd ask if anyone has done this?
Thank you all very much,
Mark

It won't be a problem to run the genny and A/c while on the move.

Would not the generator back feed to the tv since they are both attempting to charge and power lights, brakes, etc?

Do you disconnect the 12 v system and just run the 110?

Thanks franktafl
I don't think the gen will affect the brakes or lights, just the batt. Not sure though.

We travel with our generator on and the fridge On and it does not affect anything
Just be sure the generator is off when you plug into 50 amp service
Both myself and our friends with toy haulers Pull this way.
Also be sure that if you are plugged in and you do want to run
the generator to exercise it. Make sure the generator breakers
Are off. The generator has nothing to do with your brake lights
All our best from Central Florida

Running a generator will not affect the TV

5th gen will run 5th battery charger. 5th battery charger will charge 5th battery bank.
TV alternator will charge TV battery.
Which ever charger is supplying higher voltage will charge the other battery.
Usually TV is 14.4 volts or may drop to 13.6 volts.
Usually 5th charger is usually 14.4 for a while then switches to 13.6.
There may be some DC flow between the two charging system batteries.
It will be fine.

why do you want the tv on? You can't have people in the trailer while towing

Who says? In Arizona, for example, people can travel in the trailer so long as they have a voice hook-up (cellphone, radio, intercom, etc.) to the tow vehicle. I don't recommend doing so but it's not illegal.

It's maybe half and half, don't think you could travel cross country without hitting states that don't allow. Still a poor idea
