New here! Just purchased used rv

Hello,

I hope that I can learn a few things here onthis forum.

First off I was in the market for a toy hauler and came across a 2017 Dutchmen Rubicon 2905. So I looked at reviews on Dutchmen RVs and wasn't really impressed, but I went ahead and purchased the toy hauler. I was hoping since it was used that the bugs were worked out. So for everything is in pretty good order. This isn't my first rv, but it is my first toy hauler. Fourth of July weekend, we are going to try it out.

You're going to get the same reviews regardless of the brand in most cases. Unless you're getting a high end custom built coach, they're all slammed together the same way and sometimes you get one built on a Monday or a Friday. Enjoy yours and welcome to the group.

I'm sure they were and thanks for the welcoming.

Congratulations. We’ve had ours since 2014. Biggest issue we had was the ramp leaking and rotting from the bottom. Sealed the corners and all seams. Overall we’ve been very happy.

Thank you! Also thanks for the information on the ramp leaking. I did notice at the upper corners on the ramp door when closed, there was some light coming in. So the seal wasn't sealing on the corners.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your new (to you) RV!

First thing I would recommend is to thoroughly check all roof seals.
Second thing would be to check all window, door and compartment seals.

Keeping water out in any RV over 2 years old (We have a 2017 also) is the primary thing to focus on.

Thank you! I've have been checking the roof and all seals. I'm in the process of doing sealing around the windows.
