Logging in from Calgary, AB

Hey!

We pickup or 2013 261BHS on May 14! Ordered it back in January, so excited. Hope to learn lost from this site as this is a major upgrade from our 70's sportscraft tent trailer!

TV is a 2012 Ford F150 Ecoboost.

You will love the way that the EcoBoost tows. I've never owned a diesel tow rig, but those who have say that the EB tows a lot like one as far as power and the rpm's it uses.
It does not get noticeably better mpg than my old 5.4 when towing (mid 8's) but it does get LOTS better mpg when not towing. Our TT weighs more than yours, I think (8,500), so your mileage may vary....
We do use premium fuel when towing heavy as the owner's manual suggests.

Glenn....what is your Ford EB rated to tow??
I like the torque band at the low RPM level with the EB... I am thinking of purchasing a Ford with the EB because we may up -grade to a larger and heavier TT.... The book GVW for the ford EB I think is 7700lb..correct?

I know you asked him but I think mine is rated to 11,200. I have the 3.73 rear end, and the max tow package.

Our trailer dry weight is 6900 based on the true weight... 6400 in the brochure

Well pretty good weekend with the new trailer! A couple of poorly constructed items that will hopefully be taken care of.... The front door doesnt seal at the bottom almost like it is bent.

Took a picture of the rig when we got home yesterday.
