My husband and I just purchased a used 2011 Aerolite 215BHKS. There are a few things on the trailer we need the dealer to fix and it needs a total cleaning before we pick up (I dont know how something that is a 2011 could be so dirty!). We are VERY excited. Prior to this we had just a tiny popup.
We travel a lot to dog sport competitions around california and nevada.
Any things we should know for being first time real TT owners?
always check to make sure you have a good 30 amp or 50 amp service whenever you stop at campgrounds. cable is also important as well as fresh water and sewer connections
We dont always plan to stay in campgrounds but we had our first trip planned before we bought this (we were going to use our popup). Its 30 amp service and all hookups including tv. Other locations though we will be sleeping at the competition venue with no hookups. Also you are allowed to sleep at rest stops here as long as you dont stay longer than 8 hours.
Welcome nifffs ! We've taken advantage of overnight stops at rest areas in FL. Its a nice way to take a break during a long haul. We haven't done any camping w/o facilites, so I can't offer you much advice there. Just enjoy yourself and don't get in a hurry.
Welcome theniffs and Bekka! Here's a link to the CA DOT site. It gives the restirctions for CA rest stops. You can stay up to 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
