Greetings from WA.
Hello all, my name is George and I just join here on the site and love it already, just a little about me. I'm a retired military with twenty-eight years of severing my country, my wife and I are pastoring a little church here in Washington State and would love to just get away on short trips. We don't have a rv yet but I have being looking at the 2016 Kodiak 291RESL and would love a little recommendation on this unit from those that have one.
I have seen one the other day so I went to the dealership and check out the floor plan which the wife and I love. It's a 2016 that they are selling it for $29,636, is this a good price, we are new to camping so this will be ours first rv? I have a 2016 2500 dodge ram 6.4L w/ 4.10 gears so I know that I can tow it ,thank you for all of your commends?
I look forward on some good info here on rving.

Welcome George. Pricing is always a "dance" but a good rule of thumb is to discount 25 to 30% off of list, then work from there. Remember that price is just a portion of the equation. You'll need service, so it's important to find a reputable dealer you can build a relationship with. Dealers will often delay repairs on units not purchased from them to deal with first with their own customers. I'd rather pay a bit more to buy from a dealer who will take care of me. Good luck with your purchase.

Welcome George from a vet (68 & 69). Thanks now for the work your doing in His service.
I can't help with that model but what Randy said is very good advice. Looks like you have enough truck for that model RV.

Hi Big1
Yes,, thank you for your service.
I had a 291RESL for about 3 months and traded it in. Looks nice but:
After living in it for a couple weeks, this is what I didn't like
No room in the bedroom to get dressed. Very little storage.
No room in the bathroom, poor lighting
The living room is nice for conversation, but not so good for watching a movie or TV. Having to look at the TV sideways, kinda hurt my neck after a while.

Don't feel like you have to leave this site if you buy a Wildcat. RVs brands are quite alike. They all use pretty much the same brands of heaters, stove, frig, microwave, A/C etc.

Yes, that is what we notice also , but was willing to put up with it which I'm glad we didn't. So what kind did you go with then?

i was down to that one or the 335RLK. i really liked the 350FK for the great kitchen layout and the king size bed.
Careful with the chairs. I am told by others that blue jeans will stain the leather. Just hearsay so take it with a grain of salt. Enjoy your new rig.

Just get yourself some good leather products to clean and protect the leather. Saddle soap is a good cleaner and for protection look for a a product that has a high carnuba wax content.
I use the same carnauba wax as protectant on all of our leather goods, that I use to finish my leather projects. A little goes a long way and it leaves your leather with a soft supple feelthat makes it feel like new.
If you have a leather craft store in your area you can get in quart bottles, last one I bought was about $25 CAD?
