I ask this question because mine leaked out between the toilet and the lino. Is this normal when it's over full? Will it leak in between the lino and the wood?

Ah, now the question makes sense. The tank is lower than the floor because between the toilet and the tank is the connecting collar. The toilet isn't connected directly to the tank via screws or anything like that, it's usually a rubber collar that connects them. However, the manufacturer made have made the connection some other way, we have no way of knowing for sure until the toilet is pulled.

Now, because you had black water on the floor you could have had a full tank BUT, if the collar or whatever was installed correctly that wouldn't have happened. Worse case with a full tank that is sealed properly would be backed up water in the toilet bowl.

There is a gasket of some sort between the floor and the toilet base that should have retained the water. That's the water that probably made its way past the collar.

My thinking is the rubber collar isn't doing its job. You could pull the toilet and take a look or make a trip to the dealer. You could go to the RV parts store and look at the connecting rubber and the seals to get an idea of what you will be seeing.

There is a problem that is more than a full tank.

Had the same problem with the Airstream.

Just one more reason to hold Thor Industries products in the "?!.,)(?;:"
