Exactly. Had the issue with mine. Any slope toward the front of the unit and you can't put the pins in to secure them in place. Need to be almost level to use them. While convenient, knowing what I know now, if they didn't come with my unit, I wouldn't buy them.

Yeah, we find ourselves in some of the most awkward sites. After reading about them, I think the current spot we are in would have been the only spot we would have been able to use something like these steps in the last six months. We do like to get the trailer rear set so that it is like a balcony.
