I'm thinking he's referring to the roof ladder. It's very lightweight, you could probably just lay it on the floor in the garage.

You could forgo the large unwieldy ladder for a smaller, safer collapsible ladder...I use one from Lowe's. Not so much lighter, but easier to manage and I am not scared of falling off the side of the trailer. The hard points on my trailer are starting to come loose.

I remember someone making a way to secure it to the bottom of the trailer during travel. It is in the Mods thread IIRC.

I believe he is referring to the steps that go up on the rear of the patio/ramp. Difficult place to find to store after the bike is loaded.

I saw those steps on quite a few 2015 toyhaulers at a RV show in Pomona. Nice option but at $700 to add it to my 2014 I'll pass. Guess you just put them in the garage or the back of your truck.

For $700, they should run behind the rig as you travel.

Exactly. Had the issue with mine. Any slope toward the front of the unit and you can't put the pins in to secure them in place. Need to be almost level to use them. While convenient, knowing what I know now, if they didn't come with my unit, I wouldn't buy them.

Yeah, we find ourselves in some of the most awkward sites. After reading about them, I think the current spot we are in would have been the only spot we would have been able to use something like these steps in the last six months. We do like to get the trailer rear set so that it is like a balcony.
