Re: Let's talk about HOW we tow and with what truck.....

I towed a Dutchmen 276RBS with 2011 GMC 1/2 ton with the 6.2 liter engine from Edmonton to Bragg Creek this year. I got 26.94l/100km (8.731mi/US gal). The truck did good on the hills and there were a...

Re: Ground Switch?

I followed the instructions also but it didn't take me long to figure it was not the correct way to install it. I want the power to the trailer living space turned off NOT the power to the braking...

Re: Ground Switch?

I added one to the side of my battery box on the ground. I will be changing it this year to the trailer power side as it is possible to be without the break away brake feature if the ground is...

Re: The Good, The Bad, and other stuff

You may want to try to squeeze in Writing-On-Stone. Depending on what you like I would spend at least 2 days to hike the trails to see the rock art. Too bad much of it has been defaced. I was there...

Re: Wiring Diagram

That says a lot. I can see that electronics would not be a problem for you. Thank you for the site information, it looks interesting. The prices are good and shipping is reasonable. Canadian Tire is...

Re: Generator

It is louder than a Honda or Yamaha. There is a chart that gives you an idea how loud it is at this site: https://www.grainger.com/tps/safety_decibel_chart.pdf . Many of the generators I looked at...

No place to hang a full size coat?

In Alberta you have to pack for any kind of weather. Rain, snow, sun, you name it, any time of the year. We didn't notice our 276RBS was missing a full size closet until we camped a few times. The...

Re: Electrical System

I have had the fan in the power center run even though I was NOT plugged into shore power. I did not notice that I had power in any 120 Vac outlets either. The battery goes dead fast enough by...

Re: Yosemite Video - 3/17/2012

Looks like the April long weekend in Alberta. That is one place I would like to see. I guess I will have to get my passport after all. Man I miss the days of being able to cross the border with just...

Re: Wiring Diagram

I am not sure, I liked the Borgart product line also. I have to find someone in Edmonton. So far I have only seen a Sunforce 30 amp controller at Canadian Tire. If you don't mind, who do you work...

Re: 2012 Kodiak 300BHSL new delivery

We had a similar experience with our Dutchmen 276RBS. The one we picked first had metal siding and a certain type of kitchen cabinets and shower door. I had a defective slide which need a factory...

Re: The Good, The Bad, and other stuff

Alberta is quite diverse, both in geography and weather. You can get snow in any month. Writing-On-Stone is just north of Montana's Sweet Grass Hills. Waterton shares the border with...

Re: Wiring Diagram

I will be using two 30 watt solar panels and one 20 watt panel this year. I will be looking into a monitor panel this year also. Thank you for the advice.

Re: Wiring Diagram

If I pull all the fuses is there a way I could measure draw using a multimeter across each fuse terminals? Would the amp setting (max 10 amp) tell me the draw or would I fry my meter?

Re: Generator

Anyone know anything about Efoy fuel cells? They use methanol to make electricity and emit only water. It sounds interesting but I am wondering about the cost. They are light and quiet (23dB). They...
