No place to hang a full size coat?

In Alberta you have to pack for any kind of weather. Rain, snow, sun, you name it, any time of the year. We didn't notice our 276RBS was missing a full size closet until we camped a few times. The 1/2 sized closet (shirt size) in the "master bedroom" just were not sized for winter coats or rain coats. We got around this by buying over-the-door hooks from the Dollar Store and putting them on the trim of the slide when it was out. We then had more than enough room to hang jackets and coats. I used the plastic covers from valve handles to cover the hooks so they wouldn't damage the wood trim. When we travel the coats ride on the bed, When we park, the slide goes out, the hooks go up, and we hang up our coats.

Packing heavy clothes can be a real challenge can't it? Sounds like you have the perfect solution.....

Re: No place to hang a full size coat?

We had a little bit of the same problem on our 2010 Dutchmen Lite 25C-GS.
The unit has a blank wall as you come in the door, which is the side of the refrigerator. We put a 4 hook coat rack at the ceiling and another one at the half way down the wall mark. It handles most coats and sweat shirts.
The wife folds her clothes, but I like my shirts on hangers and have been frustrated with the closets not even being full length for shirts and I'm not an extra tall guy. Replaced one of closet clothes rod with a piece of metal trim, that I think was a left over from a carpet edge trim. Raised the shirt hangers about 2 inches. Helped some. We also have "over the door clothes hangers" on both sides of bathroom door. I guess we have a lot of coats, hats and hanging stuff. ;-)

We have put 6 3M hooks in the shower. They are strong enought to hold a light coat. You could get heavy duty hooks that could handle the weight of a winter coat. We don't use the shower as a rule. Our wet towels and jackets go on those hooks.

We use these: http://www.lynxlevelers.com/lynx_stay_put_hanger.html They have a little less hook length and don't have a tendency to shed items like regular hangers do.
