Step every inch of the roof, feel for soft spots/wrinkled fabric. Go underneath notice the fasteners for the belly pan is it sagging. Look for streaking at the windows inside, water coming in .

I spray the contact points of the underside of the slide outs with silicone, that takes care of the chucking. Before that, I replaced two gear boxes and now carry a spare.

I think the gearbox is about to fail. Ours had grinding sound a couple times then failed. Gearbox failure is common enough that most rv stores carry them. Not a big deal if your handy, you'll burn up...
