I have covered mine with medium size insular ion circles tubes from hose to unit seems to work

I had lots of trouble with my aerolite heater it was the control board replaced it 5 times over 2000 spent these trailers are trash

Aerolite 298RESL

This 2017 aerolite 298ersl is the worst unit ever day 1 water lines not hooked up in wall as we found out when set up and turned city water on sprayed all over in unit.
Passenger side slide out...
