holding tank pull knobs

hey all, hope this is in the right area.

in the panel with the pulls for the tanks and all the plumbing...

the black pull and the grey pull in there are not secure, i can pull them out and empty tanks just fine, but when i push them in to close...the whole assembly goes into the void place!

i just bought this used. is this missing some sort of collar?

I don't see any voids in your pictures. Everything looks secure.

Are you saying the whole panel moves, or are you saying individual controls aren't fastened to the panel?

check out the black tank pull. i got one pic showing how it falls into the void. so when im closing the tank it pushes the whole thing into the front wall area.

The black tank valve control looks normal.

It is possible the mounting behind the decorative white panel is loose. Open it up and look at the mounting behind the panel.
