Check water heater notification

I’ve got a 2018 Coleman Light 2855BH. It has a Dometic GC6AA-10E water heater. The heater works just fine, but I keep getting a “check water heater” notification on my iN-Command control box. Any thoughts on what I need to do?

It might be one of those built in nags to keep us from being stupid. It may be reminding you to have water in the tank before starting.
It's like the clothes dryer that warns us to check the lint filter.
Like the bell that reminds of the key in the ignition when the door is open. You get the idea.

I have a same year Voltage with iN·Command controlling my water heater and have never seen a message like that. I suspect your water heater is propane only so you likely can’t trouble shoot to see if you get the message on both gas and electric but if so try that.

Perhaps a stupid question but are you getting good heat consistently and if you stand outside or close by can you hear the flame.

No issues with other propane appliances like stove, heater or fridge?

Have you tried a new propane tank? I suspect the warning is intended to indicate there is an actual problem and it is not a general warning message.

Lastly, if you only have a propane water heater and the iN·Command gives you the option of gas or electric then you might have selected electric which of course wouldn’t work. Not likely but a thought.

Good thoughts. Thank you. The heater can run on propane and electric. I’ve had the trailer for 3 years and it just started so I don’t think it is a random warning light. I’ll check the flame.
