Arkansas Camping

We are planning trips for this year and we want to visit Arkansas. We've never been and I know there are some nice places that aren't too far from where we live (Dallas area).

Do any of you have recommendations for a long weekend trip? We like to hike, mountain bike, etc. A friend of a friend recommended Buffalo River.

We camped for a week in Harrison and two weeks at Lake Catherine near Hot Springs end of September, first of October. A motorcycle riders dream! Every little twisty road hooks up with another. Catherine's Landing is a very nice park near Hot Springs. Lots of National Forest land with trails near Harrison, Buffalo National River and Hot Springs. Also check out Mt. Petit Jean.
