I found the upper bearing block is broken where it attaches to the shoe. Looks like I have my work cut out for me.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

The main slide in my 3600 failed within 6 months of ownership so I had the dealer fix it, which was a two day job. Been working fine since.

The dealer here is 4 months out, so I will have to do it myself.
Thanks

Schwintek slide problem
Your super-slide is too big for the drive motors and associated equipment. The misalignment is caused by a combination of (a) broken bearing block(s), (b) damaged gear rack(s), (c) broken or bent torque shaft(s), or a bad count of "turns" on the motors which requires a reset on the controller. My Infinity suffered from ailments "a" and "b". I took the outside, front end retaining plate off and the entire assembly fell to the ground. It can (technically) be DIY repaired except that Lippert will not sell you just the damaged parts. They insist on selling the entire assembly (motor, gears, shaft, blocks, and gear tracks) for roughly $850 PER END. Other campers helped me push the slide back in and I took it to a shop.

Thanks, I just called Lippert and they said they will sell me whatever I need. I don't have to buy the whole assembly.
Thanks again

That's good news! I do all of my own repairs. I have had the dealer do something, then have to go in behind them to fix it properly.

Got the parts and tackled the repair today. Replaced all 3 bearing blocks, the spur gears and the shoes. I am happy to say all is good now. Took me about 7 hours 2 of that was just cleaning off all the old caulk.
Thanks for all the help.

How did you support the slide when you pulled the frame out?

It was in the 90's and I was trying to beat the afternoon storms we get here this time of year so sorry no pics.
I supported slide with a floor jack and 2 2x4's screwed together placed vertically on top of the jack.

That's talent for sure. Did you find a YouTube video or something to assist?

Thanks. It really wasn't that hard to do. Just a little intimidating. There were some videos of how the system worked which helped. I got a repair manual on line which helped a lot.
