Slide question for Kodiak 288BHSL owners
Fellow 288BHSL owners. Do you find that your slide "appears" to tilt excessively when it is out? Look at my picture and you can see just how much farther the top looks out when compared to the bottom. My local repair shop checked it and said that the slide room is working and is adjusted as designed and they feel like the slide room itself was just not built square. Am I the only one who is bothered by this.

The slide should seal up to the gasket all the way around. What does it look like at the top and bottom of the side?

Frank..... The slide seals perfectly against the body both when in and out. There is nothing to "fix" persey.

Hmm well the visual would definitely bother me. I am not that anal, but I do like everything to be "right dress right"
How about a picture from the outside?

It's dress, right, dress mister.
In order for that slide to be sealed on the outside the exterior walls would have to match the angle, don't even think the blind installers could pull that off.

It may be a week but I will get one. It does not look nearly that bad from outside but when looking at the slide wall window frame vs the main outer wall it is definitely not straight.

I picked my trailer up today from my RV repair shop today and they agree that although it looks way off that it is indeed sealing and there is nothing for them to adjust. Keep in mind that this shop did not sell me the trailer and they know me pretty well. They would have nothing to gain by telling me that there is really nothing wrong.

I also noticed this with my 288bhsl about a month ago. I took into the shop and they told me the cables are tight and seals are sealing so there was nothing to adjust. I am not sure what or why the slide looks off but you are not the only one my friend ...

Nothing new to update really. I did send some pictures into Keystone and they did reply back to me yesterday asking for a few more more specific photos. I was actually surprised that they appear to maybe care. We will see.

So today I picked up my Kodiak from Veurink's RV in Grand Rapids. They did my furnace recall as well as checking out my slide issue. They took measurements of the slide and floor and called Keystone for advice. Keystone stated it its not leaking then don't touch it. They also said they allow for 2" of variance not that I have any idea what that really means. So I suppose I will just live with it and chalk it up to one of those things.

I just got an email today from Dutchmen. They told me the exact same thing. They said that if it’s not leaking and the dealer said everything was tight then there are no issues.... I had not idea the 288bhsl had a furnace recall... what year is yours? I have a 2017 kodiak ultimate 288bhsl. The dealer has it now fixing the fireplace because it kept turning off on me... thank goodness for extended warranty
