Dawniewest,
Instead of flowers and chocolates, cuz they can SEE something coming, have her sit down in her favorite sitting spot at home, and tell her you are serving HER dinner tonight. Or simply ask her to relax while you prepare her a nice margarita?
Then when she sighs and sits back and says "this is nice babe"...
Ask her, "wouldn't it be nice if we could replicate this in the 213?"
Jeff,
Enjoy the long weekend in yaws sweet tinyhouse on wheels!
It's sure to deliver a great weekend just the way it came.
Be sure to post pics!
And crank up that AC. (sure is nice the 213 has plenty of cold air)

Showed this to the wife, now I'm looking for 2 recliners or a love seat. We hate the dinette, and don't really have need for another bed. Guess I'm tearing it out! Do you know the naked dimensions Snake? I thought I saw them, then didn't see them on my second read through.

Oh, and Jeff. That little Weber Q is a great grill but don't let it fool you. You may think, "it's small, maybe cook the burgers just a little longer". Don't. Trust me.

Boy don't we know it. That lil Q can put out some heat. We've used it a few times to get it broken in before taking the Q camping. Fire it up on high for 5-7 minutes to get it heated up and then adjust it down to under medium or you might be tossing your dinner and going out to eat

Thanks, will do. Going to be a rainy Sat/Sun, but hopefully it will clear up for the rest of the week. Everyone have a Safe & Happy 4th!

We just stack milk crate storage containers in the "closet" in the bathroom. They are relatively easy to rotate through to get to what you're after.
Snakebitten: that office looks awesome! I'm glad you finally did it. the other mods look great too.
I just finished opening up that space under the bed for easier access. After we replaced the mattress with a Cal King, Memory foam mattress it was just too heavy to get into. Gas struts didn't help either because the mattress was too thick to bend properly. Now we can access the whole thing easily.
Wife plans on using it for dirty laundry, tubs, and other large things. It may double as a dog house too, but we'll have to see if the dogs want to give up sleeping in the human bed.
The attached pic shows part of the wall-hugger, reclining, love-seat we installed in the dinette slide. That was the best mod ever! (for me anyway).

That IS a much easier way to access that under-mattress storage.
Nicely done.
And yea, THAT is exactly how I'd have used the dining area if I were living 2-up.
That recliner-love couch looks SO much more comfortable!
("2-up" is a motorcycle term for riding-with-passenger)

Snakebitten,
We had a nice long enjoyable weekend in the Hiawassee-GA & Blue Ridge Mountain area! Here are a few pics. Unfortunately once we arrived home and started to clean out the camper we have a 2nd story to tell

That looks like a great spot, that little weber is a great grill. Do you guys wait for rain to tilt your awning? I only ask because if I don't do it on setup I would never remember to do it.

I tilt mine on set up, then tie it down. I only bring it in when the wind goes above 15 or 20 mph.

Great pics Jeff!
#15 looks like an excellent camping site!
It's 5:15PM and now I'm hungry too.
(I see two Webers?)
So, do tell.........is it another 213 story? Or a camping tale?
Edit: Never mind. I found story #2. Go BOMB the little buggars!

I usually do it when we see rain. But I like the way you think, will have to do that in the future. Thanks!

I say this because we get hard rains here, 2 notches down will still hold a surprising amount of water, I go 2 when setting up, and drop it all the way down when a storm hits. Those awnings are tough until there's 80lbs of water on them.

Yup, 2 notches down on set-up, all the way down when rain hits. Learned that the first time it rained on us. 2 notches wasn't enough. Of course, I can't testify in a court of law to how level we had the trailer either

Finally did it. Removed the dinette, and am now looking for a reclining love seat with a console. The only one so far is an RV brand.

We still need to have the option of an extra bed so we went with this one. Hopefully it's somewhat durable, although at this point we are only camping 6-8 times a year.

You folks make me smile for ya.
You're fixing to LOVE what you are doing.
I understand the risk Aerolite would be making if they hadn't built the 213 with a dining room. But they already did what very few RV companies have done by building a "small" TT with a HUGE bed on one end and a HUGE bath on the other. This is a "couples cabin". No pretending to be a versatile bunkhouse or "sleeps 5" trailer.
By converting the typical RV dinette into a wonderful living\relaxing room, you are finishing the job of building a 2-person luxury experience. (the little ones can sleep on a couch\bed even better than a dinette-bed)
Add to that the fantastic front porch with an outdoor kitchen, this is a gem of a package in a small format!
Cheers to both of ya!
