Hi all, after we finish this trip in California we are going to be heading home to Colorado and the camper will probably be sitting until Mid February. It's no trouble at all for me to run an extension cord to the house and plug in for that time period but I'm not sure if that is good for the batteries? Also, with temp's easily getting down to -10 F can that damage the batteries over the course of a month or two?
I do not have a garage so the only other option is to remove them and store them in a back room of the house!
Fulltimers are plugged in for several months all the time. Being plugged in shouldn't hurt the batteries. You can also buy a trickle charger that will keep them charged. The batteies will only be damaged if they freeze. And that will only happen if they lose there charge.
