What is this?

Ok, so I have had my Aerolite for over a year and pretty much know every inch of it but one thing escapes me. What are these things hanging down under the trailer? They are on both sides. Are they to support the power cord, hoses etc. if they had to be run from the camp side of the trailer? Thanks!

They look like braces so you don't tear any thing forward of brace. Bottom out protection.

There just thin sheet metal. I don't think they would protect much.

Or just bottom out warning, they would make a racket once they started dragging. I've seen a lot of older campers with those by the back bumper, but much heavier steel.

As a matter of fact, there's a nice chunk of asphalt missing from the front of my neighbors driveway from those on his Rockwood.

They are there to protect the stabilizer jacks. Mine are quite substantial.

Skids, my Coleman has them, in my case they "might" help protect the drain valve. One of mine came bent... probably installed that way.
